These are just a few of the titles available in our library.

The Cay by Theodore Tayor is about a young boy shipwrecked on an island with an older African American man. A head injury the boy received in the shipwreck results in blindness and the boy has to depend on the stranger for survival. The time period is set in the 1940s, so there are references to Germany and submarines. This book is short at 137 pages.

Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbitt is a wonderful adventure about a girl in a small village in the 1880s. She meets a magical family called the Tucks when she finds a spring in the woods near her house. Her adventure in getting to know this family ends with her having to make a choice, and her choice may surprise you.

There's a Rainbow in My Closet by Patti Stren is about a little girl, Emma, whose grandma comes to take care of her while her mother goes on a business trip. At first Emma is not at all happy about this arrangement, but slowly she realizes that she and her grandmother have a lot in common.

Horacio and his teddy bear Guille awake during the night and hear many things that sound frightening until Horacio's mother assures him that everything is all right.

La estrella y los Chus by Gérard Moncomble
A group of small characters who live high in the trees witness a star falling to the ground one evening and rush to take it in and care for it until it is well enough to continue on its journey.

El doctor Me Di Cin by Roberto Piumini
A little prince in China became very sick and the local doctor could only treat him with special herbs found outside of the palace.
