Contributor's Guide

We rely on the volunteer efforts of the Fairmount community to keep this web site updated. We don't have a "webmaster" with responsibilities to post things on the site -- if you want to add or update content on the site, the easiest way is to do it yourself.

Here's how to add content to our web site:

1) Make sure you're registered and logged in.

2) Click on the "Create content" link.

3) Next, select a type of content. If you're looking to create a calendar item, choose "Event". If you want to add a page to the web site, choose "Page". To add a request for supplies, choose "Supply Requested".

4) Type a title for your page and add your text to the body area. In the Language field, select either English or Spanish, as appropriate.

5) Click on the Save button. If you're a moderator, your page will appear on the site right away. Otherwise, one of our moderators will have to approve your new page (this usually happens within a day).

6) If you can, please translate your new content into Spanish. See the Translator's Guide for help with that.
